Microsoft has release Windows XP Service Pack (SP) 3 via its Automatic Update (AU) service on Thursday July 10.
Windows XP users who have automatic updates turned on but who don’t want XP SP3 to be downloaded to their desktops need to deploy the Microsoft Service Pack blocker toolkit to delay auto-delivery of SP3. All users will not receive it immediately, because Microsoft will be staggering the rollout.
Just keep in mind that Windows XP SP 3 is a large download and requires some time to install. Download and install times will vary by computers.
